The Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China . In keeping with the past, emphasizing the present and looking ahead to the future, Saudi Arabia continues to deepen its relations with the various countries of the world, particularly with the People's Republic of China. These relations have developed in the last two decades, and have created and deepened a new and unprecedented era of friendly historical, and strategic relations, as well as a shared desire to work together at all levels and realize the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, which offers great and promising opportunities for deepening economic exchanges and economic partnership with China, together with the development of human and cultural relations, as well as the Chinese Belt and Road Vision, aimed at building a global trade network linking Asia to Europe and Africa by reviving the old trade routes in order to achieve the shared interests of all. On the sidelines of the 2019 visit of his Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, to China on an Asian tour, his Highness the Minister of Culture launched the Prince Muhammad bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China. It is intended to be a pillar of their relations that are moving at an accelerated pace, building on their great mutual trust and common interests; and helping to strengthen cooperation and cultural exchange and intensify joint action between Saudi Arabia and China in new, potentially significant, emerging cultural sectors where cooperation and promising cultural exchange can be built upon in the future.
